Teams and Societies Support
We offer support for our University’s teams and societies in their enterprise and commercialisation activity.
Help and advice is provided on action planning, team management and basic book-keeping to ensure the society committee members can fulfil their responsibilities.
Example of Support Given to a Student Society:
Enactus Leeds Beckett is a society run by student volunteer teams. The purpose of the group is to apply an entrepreneurial approach to non-profit and social enterprise projects. The projects they support are community based, helping to empower people living in deprived areas of the UK to develop and improve their current situation and their local environment.
Each Enactus team has a University Adviser for support and guidance. Stephen Griffiths works with the project teams, the Enactus committee and the Business Advisory Board (BAB) to offer assistance and solutions from a management perspective. The board brings together corporate managers from major employers such as British Gas, Asda and Enterprise RentaCar.
